I'm one of the people who posted a bug, I also got Michel to compile it
for me (I didn't want to install Qt on my system ;), and also because of
my bandwidth constraints at the time). I posted the interesting bits in
my own deb repository, and I would be in favour of an NMU, the current
maintainer not acting as he should.
