modem-internet connection pb

Hi all,
I'm using a woody on my PowerPC, all downloaded around mid of november (last kernel).

I can't connect to the internet (I can with MacOS on the same computer).
I have read all archives here and on debian-user and all material I found, but no way. Here are a few results and configurations that can help in diagnostic... Please give me some clues !...

Do I need more packets ? The problem is that I don't have the CDs of the Woody (I upgraded from Potato2.2r3 by a friend's and can't go to him each time I need a packet). I still have the Potato CDs: can I use them anymore for my computer ?
Can I download the packets from debian.org to my MacOS, and then pass them to the linux partition ?

Thanks in advance.

Raphael
