No it is just that there are copies of the kernel module in the X tree, which
may be newer than the ones coming with your kernel, and anyway, more in sync
with the rest of the DRI stuff you install.

Reason for this is that the DRI developpment is done separatedly from X or kernel,
and from time to time stuff get merged back to the X source tree and/or the
linux kernel.
