questions about sources.list and apt-cdrom
Hello,
may I ask some questions about sources.list and apt-cdrom? I certainly hope
so! When I want to modify my sources.list I've to add something like this
deb ftp://ftp/.../ potato main crypto ...
Now, the frist question is: Does apt automatically know, which plattform
(intel, powerpc, or whatever) I use? Or is it necessary to define the
plattform somewhere in the sources.list?
I know that apt need a accurately defined structure in in the sources.list.
So the second question is: Does apt-cdrom also use this structure on cdrom's
to recognize debian packages on it? Or can I simply download some packages
(for example kde), burn this files on a cd and then start apt-cdrom?
Thanks in advance for your help!
