In the meantime, you can insert the following line...

	Option		"XaaNoScanlineCPUToScreenColorExpandFill" "on"

...in /etc/XF86Config-4. (the "Devices" section).

That fixes it for me on an iMac Rev A. Otherwise you can always use:

	Option		"NoAccel"
