Not that I know of.  I put together the PReP portion of Debian 2.2 kernel
patches way back which is why it works properly.  There are three
kernel developers with PReP boxes that are aware of this problem
with the ncr8xx driver but it's a low priority for me (and I guess
the other guys).  The sym8xx driver (which handles everything but the
810) works fine...that's what most of my hardware uses.
