what does fbset -v -s show?

try fbset -a -accel False and see if that fixes it. accel on aty128fb
has the exact opposite effect after 2.2.15 or 2.2.16. i get that
exact behavior if i attempt to activate -accel on my blue g3 (which
also has the rage128)
