In the spirit of openness of Debian, I think we should make the
results of popularity-contest available to the world, as well as the
archives. That way, enterprising individuals could make use of the
data, either for their own benefit, or to create new and interesting
reports (history and trends, for example).

popularity-contest have moved to <http://popcon.debian.org>
This site feature a detailed report of the results, but also
the raw results from which the detailed report is made up.
The popcon database is available to Debian developers only,
and is stored in
/org/popcon.debian.org/popcon-mail/popcon-entries
on gluck.debian.org. This database is anonymized, but it is still too
easy to match popcon reports with submitters given a bit of knowledge
about what kind of packages are installed on their box, so we will not
make it public.
