Bug#286549: Clarification of #286549

> If a package is upgraded and "<new-preinst> upgrade <old-version>" fails,
> "<old-postinst> abort-upgrade <new-version>" is called.

Is the latter called instead of, or in addition to,
"<new-postrm> abort-upgrade <old-version>", or is one called in case
the other fails?
