No need for a flamewar. I object strongly. Other people gave all reasons I
would give.

Standard documents can be free without dilluting the standard. We have all
control about the version of the Debian policy that is included in Debian.
No need to be scared, not even to be frightened.

I am already wondering how you could even think of such a move.
