new dpkg-perl package
I'd like someplace to put some Debian-specific Perl modules (figuring
out what versions of a package are available, comparing Debian versions,
etc).
dpkg-perl has been gone for many years, and most of what I can find
about it are complaints about how badly it was written and how buggy it
was.
Rather than trying to find the old dpkg-perl source, I'm thinking of
starting a new dpkg-perl package from scratch. Does anybody think
that's a mistake?
