I'm member of the l10n-kab team and I noticed that the package
libreoffice-l10n-kab is missing from the distro. Are there any requirements to
add the Kabyle langpack ?
Simply that
1. I wasn't aware of it
Are there any requirements to add the Kabyle langpack ?
2. I don't package any language,
- hardcoded list
- let alone because of NEW processing and the sheer size of packages.
I don't also enable any (no offense meant) "weird" minority langpacks (like e.g. the Sorbian or Frisian stuff for Germany...)
Let's look. My quick and dirty script[1] says:
$ debian/scripts/stat_pos.sh | grep kab
kab: 39773 strings, 24938/39773 translated; 14835/39773 untranslated
kab: no help translations
kab: 63% translated, 37% untranslated
Sounds at least not as bad as some of the l10ns we do ship currently.
(And yes, we historically have l10ns which don't make
sense right now anymore or are badly translated and/or we keep them for political reasons)
But I still wonder why we really need it and one can't use ar or whatever the main language is.
For example I believe e.g. ca has a case, kab not that much...
In any case, I will simply not going over NEW for this so I'll have to wait until I need NEW for anything else.
Regards,
Rene
