Hi Rene,

Exactly this „Augen auf beim Hardwarekauf” was what I did when I once bought this expensive hires and large screen durable, long-living notebook. It was delivered even with a preinstalled Linux on it instead of windows, and if you look back nvidia was recommended for linux, exactly because of other manufacturers didn't care much for linux drivers in those days. So there's no point in saying "Augen auf". Nowadays I couldn't effort to buy an equivalent replacement, so also there is no point in saying “dump it, while it's still working absolutely fine and fast and does it's job on everyday usage”, as you did before.

You could be sure, the way they have treated me by trying to brick this perfectly working notebook I will never ever again buy nvidia, and wouldn't ever recommend it to other people.

You should read more carefully, please. I had clearly stated:

Let me know if you have an idea how to use this obviously broken nouveau driver for everyday work. The noveau driver is what actually makes this notebook slow and nonfunctional. I really would like to follow your advice to get rid of the nvidia proprietary stuff. Btw, there is no point in saying “use it from the start”, since there simply was no nouveau driver.

Again, you should read way more carefully, really. I had clearly stated:

So, as promised, I'm back with a report from completely recent apt-upgraded bullseye system (still without any backports).

Sadly, same issue with Libreoffice as described originally is present.
