I can reproduce this with version 1:5.3.4-1 of Libreoffice. However I
believe that Libreoffice is not to blame. Instead I think it is a bug in
CUPS.

With version 2.2.3-2 of CUPS Libreoffice shows my printer and the
printer is listed in the printer section of the GNOME control center,
after the upgrade to version 2.2.4-1 of CUPS the printer does not appear
in both applications, but e.g. in Evince and it is still listed in the
CUPS web interface. I reconfigured the printer (via hplip because it is
a HP model), but that did not help, so I guess hplip is not to blame.
Then I downgraded CUPS and that solved the problem. Upgrading again
makes the printer disappear in Libreoffice and the GNOME control center,
but it is still listed in Evince and in the CUPS web interface.

The printer is connected via USB.

I assigned the bug to the source package because I didn't know which
binary package to blame.

Please tell me if I can give you more information.

Regards,
Viktor
