The point here is that I believe at least for kfreebsd-amd64 LO isn't at fault.

Of course kfreebsd-amd64 is a 64bit architecture, so assuming a 64bit JDK there
is correct. :)
No idea why gcj on kfreebsd-amd64  is or at least claims to be 32bit, though.
gcj bug?
