Hmm. Indeed.

Actually, in a DE like GNOME (if you have -style-tango installed) I *do* have
icons.

But when going to Tools -> Options -> View I get

"Could not find theme id in theme vector"

Except the non-accessibility of Tools -> Options -> View...
