And this is not a BTS for Ubuntu packages. *If* you report a bug here (which is
OK), please do it with a *matching version* which is actually in Debian....
As you did right now, you confuse the BTS' version tracking as it doesn't know
1:3.5.2-2ubuntu1 and thus marks it as affecting all version which is obviously wrong.

Can you try which file *exactly* is needed here? Some of the "drivers",
dbpool or even libdba?
It *seems*, given that libdbu is in -base upstream too, that libdbu is not the
library needed. (Thankfully, it's the UI and putting that into -base-core
would yeopardize the sense of an extra -base package)

Yeah, I understand the implications of this.

Maybe we could (also) make -writer recommend Base. That at least would be helpful
