Exactly. But you know reported a RC bug which will make it affects
everything and risk it being removed due to this "grave" bug. Bugs
with RC severity have side-effects...
(Thankfully this is marked as found in 1:3.4.6-2 and thus it's marked
as not found in 3.5.x...)

I'd debug the X server and/or X Keyboard stuff. or some
other keyboard config stuff.
And try with a supported version. 3.4.6-2 (although in testing) is dead.
