the last update of the system introduced a critical malfunctionn in libreoffice:

/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/oosplash.bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/lib/libpng12.so.0: undefined symbol: inflateInit_
and the progam fails to start, preventing me from doing any work that require accessing my ODT files.
