I guess this can be closed. The libreoffice-gtk package is not as
large as the openoffice.org-gnome used to be way back so it's complete
reasonable to install it to have libreoffice styled with system
colors.

Yes, installing a package or setting an environment variable or two is
reasonable but setting something in the libreoffice options would be
horrendous. Still the package is not installed by default, nothing
appears to recommend it.

I do know what I want. I want LibreOffice in the system theme colors.
When you write different things I respond differently.
