Bug#601078: Automatic line break inserted between text and closing parenthesis

I have narrowed down the problem to the packages openoffice.org-writer and
openoffice.org-core.
First, I installed the latest openoffice on Squeeze and confirmed the bug.
Then I purged it, added the maverick Ubuntu archive to my sources.list, and
installed Ubuntu's openoffice. It is not affected by the bug.
Then I upgraded oowriter and its dependancies to Squeeze with apt and the bug
came again.
On this system, if I install Ubuntu's openoffice.org-writer and
openoffice.org-core from the apt cache with dpkg, the bug dissapears,
and if I install Debian's it reappears.
Ubuntu's packages are version 3.2.1-7ubuntu1_amd64.
I hope it can help to find the bug. I can report this upstream as well if
you do not have further investigations to suggest.
