Writer? You mean Math, right (as you mean formulas)?

That suprises me, because the updated opens__.ttf was added later (and the issue
there spoke of math), but anyways, the current package development already has

    - make -math depend on ttf-opensymbol (>> 2:2.4.3~)

there.
