What seems is not relevant. If you don't want those fonts, just
don't install the metapackage.
ttf-sil-gentium-basic is needed to make use of OOOs graphite feature,
for example.

And? Why were you using that font?

The metapackage just does depend pn everything a "normal" OOo install
from vanilla would give you - and this includes those fonts.
