funny, i just updated my system and recheck this issue ( i use sid )
and i now have 3.2 installed with dejavu-extra too
and it works fine.
anyways, i tend to choose "wait for upstream to patch it"

But I guess we can (we shouldn't, but...) "fix" it for 3.1.1 and keep it
open for 3.2+. (which would not help us if 3.2.x gets into squeeze which is
what I plan)
