Bug#546723: [openoffice.org-filter-binfilter] apt-get fails to install the package, Synaptic does

I don't know much about the way apt-get installs packages in respect of Synaptic
but today, upgrading openoffice, the installation was interrupted by the
following error:

ERROR: create ServiceManager failed!
ERROR description: Couldn't create registry

errore 1

roughly translates as:

The subprocess old post-installation script returned error state 1
I hope this translation is clear enough, anyway I have tried apt-get -f install
without success: this and other packages remained not configured. I have
launched synaptic and tried with it and luckily the problem is fixed.
