I can't reproduce this. You say you use KDE, and I extra tried in a sid boot
with KDE(4). I have proper text in the dropdown boxes and also in the text boxes
in the UI... If you use KDE3 - KDE3 is not supported anymore in sid, -kde is for
KDE4.
