I'm not requesting support here, I'm reporting a potential bug.  If you

You read what I wrote.  I'm not doing daily dist-upgrades.  Still better 
than updating my entire system every 4 years and missing lots of features 
in between (i.e., using stable).

openoffice.org-java-common is installed as well.

Same effect, except that OO looks ugly now, without -kde.
