Enter one date in A1 ("2009-01-20")
Enter another date in A2 ("2008-12-28")
Enter "=days(A2;A1)" into A3 (resulting in -23)
Save as Excel 97/2000/XP
Close.
Re-Open.
See "#MACRO?" error in A3.
Edit A3, change any character, and change it back immediately
See correct value again.

Yes. The upstream issue even has a workaround, by subtracting the two
cells directly. It would be great if OOo Calc would automatically
translate this on Excel save.
