Thanks for those clarifications.

I just tested on my up-to-date Sid PC and I can sadly confirm the exact
same bug is still present:
jwarnier@mysid:~$ xvfb-run -a /usr/bin/openoffice -invisible -nologo
jwarnier@mysid:~$ /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin X11 error: Can't open display: :99
   Set DISPLAY environment variable, use -display option
   or check permissions of your X-Server

jwarnier@mysid:~$ dpkg -l openoffice.org
