This is a problem on recent versions:
Select one or more rows
Copy
Move to empty row location
Paste
Do not get anything!
Using KDE's klipper (clipmate like applet), I can find the copied data.
There is a blank entry in the lead (most-recent) copy position.
I can select one row of data in klippe's pane.
This will paste successfully into the spreadsheet. Works with one row only.
I edit this pasted row. Might have unexpected side-effect. Undo and things are OK.
