Yes. But of course not if your machine broke. Or if you use stuff which
is knowingly affecting stability of your system nagatively - like the
binary only nvidia drivers.

This really sounds like either you installed something bogos or your
hardware broke.

"Random" segfaults are often a sign of faulty hardware (RAM?).
