in the help you mean, right? Why are you then not filing the bug against
the help? :-)

So the function works correctly, but it's documentation is bad and
does't give what you expected. Why are you then claiming in your subject
that the function doesn't work? ;-)

Yeah, I see the following in the (english) help:
"If LOOKUP cannot find the search criterion, it matches the largest
value
in the search vector that is less than or equal to the search
criterion."

Such stuff is not release-critical and therefore never will ne fixed in
stable.
Marking as fixed (in 2.3.0)
