Package: libmyodbc
Version: 3.51.06-1

On my desktop PC, I'm using OpenOffice (version 1.1.0-6 from testing) as
a frontend to my mysql database.
Everything worked fine 2-3 weeks ago, but then I ran an update of the
packages.
Now I can only read the data, modification of records is impossible,
neither is addition of new records allowed (buttons are greyed out in
OO).
On my laptop, all this is still working, so I checked the differences :
libmyodbc.so was the only difference.
I replaced the 3.51 version by the one from the laptop (2.50.39-5), an
now it works again on my desktop !

Looks like 3.51.06-1 has some issues with openoffice !

Debian : testing
Kernel : 2.4.24 from kernel.org
Mysql : 3.23.49-8.5 from woody (on separate server)

Best wishes

Joel

Version: 2.2.1-2
reassign 240634 openoffice.org
close 240634 2.2.1-2
thanks

With OOo 2.2, this now works out of the box. It appears to have been fixed
by way of a new option in OOo to ignore table permission information from
the driver.

Not sure if it's right to consider this a bug in OOo in the first place, but
as it's fixed there I'm reassigning and closing.
