Bug#429473: openoffice.org-gnome: openoffice crashes in 'Save As' dialog on entering subdirectory of samba share

Correct. But as you said, smb is not the only one. I'd agree with you
more if gnome-vfs would be broken completely. (well, maybe that is the
case, but...)

FWIW, -gnome also contains the gconf2 interface, but that's probably use by
no-one...

Please try, but please be also aware that it might not be fixed in etch
if it's fixed in sid (unless I find the patch which fixed it for 2.2.1)

Don't have (currently) any smb server/share to try myself, though.
