A couple of things I noticed in sid recently, I wonder is this correct? (a) there are now packages for gcc-4.1, g++-4.1, gcj-4.1 and gij-4.1 (b) these provide /usr/bin/java, /usr/bin/javac (c) gjdoc can be installed separately Therefore with GCC 4.1, java-gcj-compat may be no longer required, but gij-4.1 has this issue: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=361942 Also it appears java-gcj-compat uses the eclipse compiler for javac, not gcj? thanks jim
