Ah thanks I did not notice that this list did not include
openoffice.org.

So aptitude does not trigger the problem but apt-get does:

# apt-get dist-upgrade
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  
  base-config libstlport4.6 openoffice.org openoffice.org-bin
  openoffice.org-debian-files openoffice.org-l10n-en

so I downgrade the severity. 
Simplifying the dependencies so that it works with apt-get would 
probably avoid problems with larger packages set.
