Bug#346133: openoffice.org: Cannot see all glyphs in "special characters" context menu
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.0-5
Severity: wishlist
In OOo 2.0, text fields have a "special characters" context menu.
However, when the menu is brought up, I found that
- The popup uses an apparently-randomly-picked font which contains many missing characters
- The user cannot change the font (button is disabled)
- As a result, there are many characters that can be selected but the user would have no idea what those characters are
It would be *much* more useful if the user can change the font, in order to make OOo able to display the characters on the screen.
