Bug#297999: openoffice.org-gnomevfs: Does not accept GNOME-VFS URIs

Package: openoffice.org-gnomevfs
Version: 1.1.3-7
Severity: important

Hello,

I thought that after installing this package, openoffice.org would
accept GNOME-VFS URIs just as any GNOME program. However, passing
something like "smb://SERVER/share/foobar.rtf" to openoffice.org on the
command line yields an absurd error message:
"file:///home/usr/smb://SERVER/share/foobar.rtf does not exist."

Further more OOos file selector does not accept any URIs.

So this package essentially does not fulfill its purpose.

Or are there any special preparations necessary? I've tested in a
pristine user account, as well as in one which had been in use for long
time.

Thanks,

Johannes
