tag 294105 + fixed-upstrem retitle [fixed for 2.0] openoffice.org-bin: why OOo depends on libstlport ? thanks [ please wrap your lines after 70/72 chars. thanks ] Hi, Benoît Dejean wrote: > Package: openoffice.org-bin > Version: 1.1.3-4 > Severity: wishlist > > Hi, i'd like to know why OpenOffice.org depends on libstlport4.6 ? OOo seems to be the only software in Debian to depends on this C++ library, where every other C++ apps uses libstdc++. Building/running OOo against libstdc++ would certainly improve startup time and memory usage. Because it does. It simply uses stlport. Nothing to change here at least for 1.1.x. 2.0 will probably have a configure option to use libstdc++ instead of libstlport but I am not sure we'll use it. Let's see :) Grüße/Regards, René -- .''`.
