Bug#280638: Fwd: openoffice.org-kde: Can't open file with non-ascii character in the name with KDE open dialog

thanks

[ please let 280638@bugs.debian.org in the loop ]

Hi,

the following was reported to the Debian BTS as #280638. I forward it to
you...

--- snip ---
When trying to open a file with non-latin characters in the name,
error message appears: error loading document
file:///blabla/Kl%E1vesnice.doc. /blabla/Kl%E1vesnice.doc does not
exist.

Original Ooo file dialog (ooo-kde package not installed) is able to open
the same file.

KDE open dialog propably replaces those characters with %HH sequences,
while ooo wants unescaped string.
--- snip ---

Looks like there has to be a conversion between what KDE produces and
OOo expects or one of them has to be changed...

Grüße/Regards,

René
