Package: ttf-opensymbol
Version: 1.1.2-5
Severity: important

After upgrading ttf-opensymbol, all type 1 fonts (provided from
gsfonts-x11 packages) display abnormally in KDE (look narrower, to the
point they are very hard to read).

This problem happened on two different machines, both running
KDE 3.3 under sid.

Reinstalling gsfonts-x11 fixes the problem.

Sorry not to be able to tell more about the problem, but I am not very awar=
e=20
of fonts configuration under Debian.

Hope somebody can find out what causes this problem.

Cheers,
Julien

Further enquiries lead to other bugs reports, somewhat more appropriate
(especially #243329)

This problem appears each time cache fonts is reloaded running fcache -f as
root.
