Bug#279832: Printer problems

Package: openoffice.org

I've got HP LaserJet1000w printer and set it up through CUPS web interface. Right after that i was unable to print on it from OpenOffice. Any jobs were like going to /dev/null: no errors but nothing happens to the printer and nothing is written to its logs. I start printer administration tool, already see my printer there, hit "Test page", it says that test is printed OK but again no signs of life from the printer. I started to investigate the problem, i found file with printers configuration in /etc/openoffice (don't remember file name at the moment but it's self-indicating) and looked at it. I saw a thing which looked weird for me - there were 2 printers defined: generic printer and my LaserJet1000w. DefaultPrinter parameter was set to 1 for both printer. I tried to remove LaserJet1000w definition from the file, left only generic printer. After i rebooted (openoffice seems to cache many data in memory) i went to printer administration again and to a great suprprise again s
aw only my LaserJet1000w there. But when i hit "Test page" button (just for case), printer produced a printout! I decided to leave the things in this strange state, now everything works fine.
