Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.2-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

openoffice crashes when running under gnome in current sid, but NOT when
running under twm or icewm. There are two possible ways of crashing:
1) start oowriter:
$ oowriter

Starting configuration import into user data ..
.. importing layer file:///tmp/oooLocale.XXXXuTS4y6 - succeeded
$
and finished, nothing more

2) start oowriter, the spash screen appears, then an error window:
"An unrecoverable error has occurred. All modified ...."=20
and I get a long trace in the terminal:

This error has occurred several times and I have tried the following
things:
- starting oo with LANG=3DC LC_MESSAGES=3DC oowriter
- starting with different installed and not installed languages

Interestingly oowriter starts without any problems as soon as I switch
to IceWM, TWM or anything else then gnome.

I have made a trace for both runs, but the differences are quite big to
be analyzed by hand.
