Bug#256640: openoffice.org: unicode LC_MESSAGES leads to unicode chars in filenames when saving
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.1-3
Severity: normal
When setting LC_MESSAGES to en_GB.UTF-8, trying to save a a oowriter
document with characters like ä, ö or ü results in unicode characters in
the filename on disk.
I.e. saving a file named "testäöu.sxw" (entered like that into the SaveAs
Dialog) results in a file "testäöü.sxw" on disk.
When removing the setting for LC_MESSAGES, saving the file "testäöü.sxw"
works like expected.
Also, when LC_MESSAGES ist set to en_GB.UTF-8, trying to open a file like
"testäöu.sxw" on the commandline via "ooffice testäöu.sxw" results in
openoffice complaining about the file
"test%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD.sxw" not being existent.
Other LC_* or LANG environment variables are not set.
