Bug#235763: more information

I retried loading the debian package. After trying this I cannot run
anything in my home build upstream openoffice. I tried restart kde, then
reboot the system, still this problem. setup, spadmin, soffice all segfault.

I try and rebuild an installation set and :
jim@sun:~/645/instsetoo$ build
build -- version: 1.86.18.1

/home/jim/645/instsetoo/util
-------------
mkdir -p ../unxlngs.pro/49/normal
rm -f ../unxlngs.pro/49/normal/*
rm: No match.
lzip -p . -e ../unxlngs.pro/misc/lzip.log -l 49 -f openoffice.lst -d
../unxlngs.pro/49 -n OfficeOSL
Segmentation fault

even this:
jim@sun:~/645/instsetoo$ lzip
Segmentation fault

gdb lzip:
jim@sun:~/645/instsetoo$ gdb lzip

Something in the debian package upsets the system so that soffice cannot
run, and it also upsets my upstream build products too. Have not got them
running again yet.
