Bug#237232: openoffice.org: OOo should integrate more to the environment

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.0-6
Severity: wishlist

I have two issues that annoy me pretty much.

1: I use KDE, and have set KDE up, so that one click selects things. OOo
does not respect this setting. It uses its own file requesters, which is
not a problem, but I have to doubleclick to a directory/filename to
select it. Since this behavour is different from what everything else
does, it is annoying.

2: When I want to copy something out ex. from a word file to an external
editor, or from a writer file into a calc spreadsheet, it is
troublesome.
I am used to select the stuff to be copied with my mouse, and then paste
it with the middle button. It seems that when I select something with
the mouse in OOo, very often only a part is selected. Sometimes as
little as a couple of characters, sometimes everything, but usually
somewhere in between.
If I mark something with my mouse, then press ^c in writer, and ^v in
calc, everything is copied perfectly, but I would like to accomplish the
same thing with just the mouse, without choosing any functions of OOo.
