Hi Chris
Many thanks for the above reply which has been sitting in my inbox
awaiting some time to spare to explore your suggestions. It is but one
of a number of issues I'd like to resolve ;)
However, a recent upgrade (of sid) seemed to make the problem go away.
I'm happy about that but a little irritated with myself for not
having contributed to the cure ;)
