Symbol font and ooimpress

Hi!

I'm having a weird problem and would like some kind of confirmation
before reporting a bug. Characters using the symbol font don't appear
correctly on screen in ooimpress but it seems OK in oowriter. I start
from a clean installation (rm -rf ~/.sversion ~/.openoffice). I create a
new document, change the font to symbol and type "abcd..." which gives
alpha, beta, gamma, ... in oowriter but AB... in ooimpress.

The same kind of problem exists when reading openoffice 1.0.? files
which were created 1 year ago with debian/unstable openoffice. Symbols
(greek, arrows, ...) are not displayed properly in ooimpress.

Can anybody confirm this? Am I missing something?
