I had a problem with not being able to use kprinter as a printer for
OpenOffice.org. So I tried spadmin, but only got memory access faults.
So I purged OO.o, but again, I cannot make a user setup.
When I try to run openoffice, I get the following:

lemuel@lacci:~$ LANG=de_DE openoffice
OpenOffice.org for Debian - see
/usr/share/doc/openoffice.org/README.Debian.gz
running openoffice.org setup...
/usr/bin/openoffice: line 148: 16807 Speicherzugriffsfehler
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/setup -R:/etc/openoffice/autoresponse.conf
setup failed.. abort
---- Please read /usr/share/doc/openoffice.org/README.Debian.gz for
known problems -----

For the ones not speaking german, Speicherzugriffsfehler means memory
access fault.

I ran

cd /usr/lib/openoffice/program; (LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. strace setup.bin
2>&1) | grep open | grep .ttf | tail

but got no output, so I assume, everything is OK with my fonts.

I cannot run oopadmin, the program hangs just after startup (before the
purge it crashed)

What's wrong with my install?

Ha-Jo
