Bug#150678: libfreetype6: freetype regression: some ttf fonts don't display anymore
Package: libfreetype6
Version: 2.0.9-1
Severity: normal
I was having a problem with libfreetype. 2.0.9 worked fine, 2.1.1
instroduces breakage for some ttf fonts, for example:
http://www.usta.de/RefAk/Aussen/almonte.ttf
(maybe it's related to the pango problem and a recompile will fix this?)

Hi!
I'm using the -5 packages for oo. It works great except for one
regression: Some fonts stopped working. With the oo 638 tgz from www.openoffice.org, I was able to use MS fonts and all the larabie fonts (package
ttf-larabie-{deco|straight|uncommon} in non-free) just fine. That is,
after adding them with spadmin in the fonts panel. With oo -5 and libfreetype
2.1.1-3, all the MS fonts work, and some larabie-fonts work fine too,
but most of them just do not display on-screen. (e.g. Almonte doesn't
display or is just shown as white on white, while Almonte Woodgrain works fine.
Both are from ttf-larabie-straight)
Any ideas what could cause this?
Yours Malte #8-)
